Practical development outside of faculty serves to strengthen the clinical component of the dental program through immersion in the field, and in your final year you will have experience in Australian dental practices ranging from urban clinics to rural hamlets. If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold a permanent humanitarian visa and meet the relevant citizenship and residency requirements, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth-supported location. Depending on your citizenship and residency requirements, you may also be eligible to defer CSP fees and fee payments through HELP open_in_new state`s student loan system. For over 100 years, the University of Sydney`s School of Dentistry has provided education and training in dentistry and oral health, creating outstanding graduates, conducting real-world research, and providing continuing education. The faculty is one of the largest dental schools in Australia and is located at Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH), Surry Hills and the Westmead Centre for Oral Health (WCOH), Westmead Hospital. Additional Selection Criteria: Entry into the Double Degree Dental degree program is highly competitive. Selection will be based on your ATAR (which is expected to score 99.60 for the 2023 registration) and your performance in an assessment process, including a written assessment and roundtable discussion where you may be asked to demonstrate a firm commitment to the study of dentistry and a career in dentistry. Assessments will take place from December 2022 and you will be contacted by email or phone if you are eligible. Note that compliance with the minimum ATAR for review does not guarantee an invitation to the evaluation process. Assessment data is non-negotiable and eligible Grade 12 applicants must report on the first day of assessment after their ATAR scores are published.
