Legal Locum Vacancies

Welcome to eNL Legal`s Replacement Legal Jobs page. We specialize in legal rotations across all industries and have extensive experience in placing replacements in high-quality legal roles. We work nationally and hold temporary legal jobs in a variety of settings, including law firms, law firms, regulators, charities, as well as roles in the private and public sectors and more! In this guide, our legal recruitment team advises candidates considering a career as a replacement and discusses what candidates should expect. In this guide, our legal recruitment team explains how to become a successful replacement, gives examples of available job openings and answers questions that legal candidates often ask us at all levels. Litigation Substitute: Our client, a renowned law firm based in Middlesex, is looking for an experienced litigation venue. The position will be from December 19 for a period of 2 months while they recruit permanently. There is parking nearby as well as a metro station within walking distance. It`s also worth noting that a replacement won`t stop you from climbing the corporate ladder, but can even open up their own opportunities for the right candidate. It is possible to take on more responsibility and move to a higher role or take questions in different areas of law to broaden your experience. Are you a legal candidate considering a job, but aren`t sure what it entails or how to make the move? Don`t worry, you`re not alone! Legal candidates often tell us that they might consider becoming replacements, but are confused about salary rates, the length of the contract, and how to easily switch from one role to another. Locum roles are not suitable for everyone, they are less secure (i.e. they are not a permanent contract) but (usually) have a higher hourly rate and offer flexibility.

Locum roles are not for lawyers who need the absolute security of a monthly income, it is more of a lifestyle choice, with many replacements working only 7-8 months a year. There are a number of different ways to pay legal substitutes, with the most popular form being through a PEO. It`s incredibly easy to sign up with a PEO. At Sellick Partnership there are a number of umbrella companies we are currently working with, if you call one of them, they will be more than happy to follow the process with you and answer your questions! The possibilities as a legal venue are endless, especially if you continually develop your skills and experience in a niche industry or field. You can use replacement work as an interim solution between permanent positions or the number of candidates who decide that replacement work is the best career choice for you. We have locomotives that want to stay in the market longer and become what we call “career replacements.” However, some of our candidates also use it as an opportunity to work while looking for a permanent position, which means they can continue to earn and develop their skills. One of the biggest concerns of legal candidates is the length of assignments. Many of the candidates we talk to think they will only work as replacements for a few weeks or a month at a time. This is not the case. As a replacement, you can determine how long you stay with an employer. We often find that roles usually last at least two to three months, but we have candidates who have been in the same position for years. This means that as a legal place, you can still get job security while enjoying the benefits.

If you can be flexible about the distance you will travel, nothing prevents you from working most of the year. This does not mean that you have to work in the same organization for a long time. It`s important to stay in regular contact with your legal recruiter, and if you feel it`s time to move on, they`ll be happy to help you get another legal assignment. As a legal replacement, you may also have the opportunity to try out a new organization and location until you find a position that suits you in the long run. We have an impressive track record of candidates working for us moving from replacement positions to permanent positions. As a legal place, you can constantly develop your skills and develop professionally. Each organization for which the replacements work will be different, allowing you to build a bank of experience often unmatched for in-house lawyers in the market. It`s also a fantastic way to expand your skills and try out new areas of law that you may not have considered before. Our candidates regularly learn new skills in areas such as IT or case management systems or support their colleagues in new areas of law.
