TAY`s staff lawyer will represent minors in court, in administrative proceedings and through informal advocacy on a variety of key legal issues to remove barriers to stability and success. TAY`s staff lawyer will work with members of the social work team to ensure that youth have access to necessary social services. Will also participate in community building, develop Know Your Rights materials, and feature youth organizations and partners on a variety of legal issues in Los Angeles County. This position will focus primarily on direct youth representation, but the lawyer will have the opportunity to support taY policy reform efforts by participating in working groups that address issues affecting our clients. Whew. Salary for this position will be determined based on the legal background and relevant experience of the selected candidate, with a starting range of approximately $89,700 to $106,450.
